Frequently Asked Questions

Nope! We charge a one-time, all-inclusive recruiting fee to locate, interview, and vet potential VA candidates. We also will spend upwards of 10 hours the first week with your new VA to assist with onboarding. We can help familiarize the VA with any of your policies, processes, or basic software use. Payment to the VA for these initial onboarding hours is already included in your recruiting fee.

Depending on the requirements for your VAs, we can usually work something out! If the VAs you are looking for fall under a similar category, this makes our job a little easier — and we can certainly pass along some savings to you!

We aim to provide a quality VA within two weeks. Although this can never be guaranteed, we feel that this timeframe best represents our ability to thoroughly vet potential VA candidates and match them with your business. Generally speaking, a more specialized VA will take longer to recruit than an entry-level VA.

There is a replacement policy built-in to your recruiting fee. If within 45 days of the VA hire date you feel that it is not a good match for your business, we can assist with recruiting a new VA at no additional cost to you. You will still be responsible for payment to the VA for hours worked up until this point.

The VA you ultimately select is now a part of your work family! After the onboarding process, we will turn the VA over to you — they will work as an independent contractor for your company. We keep in regular contact with you and the VA throughout the relationship to ensure everything is running smoothly!

This is what makes Latin America perfect for US-based businesses! Unlike VAs from the Asia market, our VAs are mostly located in US timezones. This makes work communication super easy — you never have to wait until the following morning to hear back from your VA regarding a task or project.

The hourly rate of your VA is ultimately determined by you! The thing is, there are many factors to consider when paying your VA. Some VAs will require a higher hourly rate than others depending on their country of residence. For example, you can likely pay an hourly rate of $5.00 to a VA from Venezuela because of the cost of living and local purchasing power. This rate would not be quite as good for a VA from Colombia, where the cost of living is higher. We always recommend an hourly rate that will attract the highest quality candidates. As an employer, you also want to make sure your VA enjoys working for you. A happy VA is a productive VA!

Unfortunately, requests such as these are unable to be guaranteed. We always seek the highest-quality candidates that are the best match for your business needs, regardless of their country of residence. We will certainly do our best to accommodate your preference whenever possible.

Many VAs can accept payment through intermediaries such as PayPal or Payoneer. Some VAs also have access to US-based bank accounts and can receive Zelle payments. It is up to you and your VA to determine the best and most-efficient way for payment.

Hire Patch can accept all major forms of payment, including PayPal, via our payment processor and invoicing software. Upon receiving your invoice for the recruiting fee, you will have the option to pay directly from there through a link in your email.

We do request that the recruiting fee be paid in full at the time of purchase. We can reasonably make accommodations for special circumstances at our discretion.
